Allison has studied various styles and techniques of painting in school. After moving to Los Angeles, she began teaching the fundamentals of drawing and painting at a private fine arts school. At the time, her focus was on watercolor. She then progressed into acrylic on canvas and is currently working with oil on canvas. Allison's pieces are expressionist in nature with an abstract feel. She is currently working on a series of ballerinas as well as a series titled, "The Drip Series". The, “Drip,” series has representational figures in an expressionist environment with drips to create depth and symbolize emotion. The series is based on the way the world is felt and seen through the subject’s eyes.
